Basic Door Construction
Our doors are constructed of solid wood. Cuts in the wood to accomodate the mortisse and tenon joints are machined from the solid wood as well. By utilizing solid construction, our doors breathe and swell naturally.
Mortisse and Tenon Joints
Our mahogany is milled, kiln dried, and crafted into solid components that are hand-assembled. We utilize age-old construction techniques, considered today as a lost art in today's world of mass production. Our consutruction methods are classic, we will not compromise your expectations.
Fitting and Glueing
Our tolerance for fitting is 99.9% and utilizes warm glues to saturate the wood and ensure a solid fitting and setting between the mortisse and tenon. Upon finishing, these seams will last for years without concern for splitting or separation.
Solid Panels
Our materials are solid - we will not use veneered lumber. There is not attempt to compromise on the weakest part of the door to save money. Our doors are solid through and through. Have confidence that large door panels are as solid as the styles and rails of your door.
Completed Assembly
Final assembly of all the pieces using our classic construction principles ensure the door that adorns your front entryway is solid, elegant and made to last for a life time.
