We will not comprimise our manufacturing and are committed to selling high-grade furniture quality solid mahogany doors. We use classic materials - solid mahogany, true-divided glass, lead caming, quarter inch up to three quarter inch beveled glass. Our doors are hand-crafted by artisans with generations of experience in their fine craft of bringing together these esquisite materials.

Hand-crafted Leaded Glass Milling Solid Lumber

We purchase solid core lumber from certified renewable forests. From this we mill our door components. The lumber is cut from solid planks and kiln dried to ensure low moisture content. We use no vaneers, so we use no glues which adds moisture to the interior of doors.

Milling Door Components

Once milled, the door components are manufactured to exacting standards. Our mortise and tennon joints are 99.999% error free. This reflects our commitment to our heritage to work with the age old processes employed when we started.

Assembling Door Components

The door components are glued together using heat treated glues and pressurized to ensure a tight fit in the mortisse and tenon joints. The doors are again kiln dried to ensure all moisture is removed from the glues used during this process.

Hand Sanding Finished Doors

After being run through a finish sander, we hand sand every door with 400 grit paper to ensure the finest finish. By finishing our doors this way, we make sure that when the door is finish sanded the surface is ready for final finish coat of varnish.

Applying Glue and Silicone to Glass Panel in Door

We use a low moisture glue to seat the glass panels in the finished doors. Additionally we seal our doors with high-grade silicone to prevent air seapage. Most importantly, we clean our doors and present a finished product of uncompromised quality.

Final Door Assembly

Once the glass panel is seated, the final door moulding is applied. Again we apply a layer of silicone, low-moisture glue and adhere the moulding with finishing nails. Any overage of silicone or glue is cleaned to exacting standards.

Packaging the Door

Every door is packaged in plastic, with door corner protectors, and foam to level the surface with the box. Our boxes are marked with the door style and is heavy guage to ensure maximum protection from the elements.

Crating and Shipping

With our minimum order of five doors, we ship our doors common carrier in wood crates. The crates are designed to protect the glass by placing them vertical. We back our shipping practices with a money back guarantee at time of arrival.

We only use lead caming because of the beauty of the glass that is exposed when surrounded by lead. Lead also provides the strongest bond between glass and caming because of its maleability.

Mahogany is grown along the equator across the globe. For generations, we resisted the Brazilian and Honduran mahoganies because of their limited availability and their detrimental environmental practices.


Solid Mahogany retailers claim they use Solid Mahogany Wood, however, when you begin to dig, you will discover they use a solid core, with a solid vaneer - they can claim "solid" door.
