Our materials are solid - we will not use veneered lumber. We continue to responsibly use renewable lumber and will not compromise our quality to save a few dollars. DoorSmart will continue to invest in our raw material providers as they continue to provide us with high quality lumber grown responsibly in managed forests.

Think about it, when you go out to buy a home, what are you buying? Typically, folks buy function over form, but what most buyers want is curb appeal. I, myself, have spent considerable investment in accessorizing the front of my home and it was just built! Why? Because, I want the front of my home, especially the entryway to be inviting, warm, and radiate elegance.
When I first bought my home, the doors were "prefabbed veneer four light French Doors". They were pretty, but, they were the same doors as half the people in my neighborhood (ugh!) and the finish didn't hold, they looked like they were dried out within the first year! In the end, I chose to change out the doors, accent the doors with new hardware (that doesn’t corrode), and accentuate the entryway with pots and plants to achieve a unique entry that screamed curb appeal!
After many years in this business, I have found that the construction of a high-quality entryway is a project in itself. There are many key decisions that go into the design, and many elements to consider to “do-it-right”. DoorSmart is the culmination of years of experience working with customers to construct a niche business focused on bringing the entire package to discriminating buyers with the customer service elements of knowledgeable experts.
The collection of door accessories, especially the lanterns, planters, mats and the such, are provide.ours at night while I work my day job. As my father said teaching me this business, people don’t shop here to save money - even though they do - they shop here because we sell the highest quality products with the service to make every customer experience positive. With the advent of super store, neighborhood wharehouses, and mega retailers we have all been left scratching our heads. The knowledge and expertise of fine construction and personal touch with our most important investment has been lost. At DoorSmart, we don’t point you in some direction hoping you find what you want, we take you by the arm, walk you through the store, help you to understand the pitfalls, provide you with the knowledge and expertise of all the elements of a finely constructed and decorated front entryway. If you look at our partners, we have selected artisans who are dedicated to the same integrity. They too will not compromise quality for the sake of a lower price product.
